Our objectives

These are threefold:

To support the improvement of local authority regulatory services
To deliver consistency, primarily through the Primary Authority scheme
To enhance the local regulatory system

Collaborative delivery is at the heart of our approach: our programmes are introduced in partnership with local authorities and relevant stakeholders. They are also piloted or tested to confirm they are robust, fit for purpose, and capable of meeting changing needs in the years ahead.
