Date: 8th September one day session
Details: The site near Bristol supplies retailers and other Tulip sites with pork. In addition there is a processing factory making bacon, gammons and joints for Marks and Spencer.
Tulip is the largest producer of pork in the UK providing a vast choice of products to both the retail and foodservice markets. From fresh pork, bacon and sausages to pies, canned and cooked meats, they pride themselves on creating high quality food from farms in both the UK and Denmark; and are committed to quality and care exceeding many recognised industry standards.

Details: Spend a day with national household product manufacturer Robert McBride at their site in Barrow. Even though the site is inspected by the HSE,here is a chance to see how a high risk site manages its health and safety responsibilities.
Ginsters
Location: Plymouth
Date: 24th September one day session
Details: This is a great opportunity to visit their Callington Bakery and see where they bake more than 3 million pastries every week. The session will cover Ginsters HACCP system, and how they are able to balance legislative compliance with their ever increasing production targets.
Sainsbury's
Location: North London
Date: 1st October one day placement
Details: Spend a day with Sainsbury's HQ staff at their distribution centre in North London. Includes an overview of HQ activities and practical experience of distribution and store processes.
One Stop
Location: West Midlands
Dates: 21st & 22nd October: two day session
Details: The placement with One Stop provides an insight into the way they manage complaints and customer expectation. Discover their approach to marketing and legislative compliance as well as the principles behind their supply chain and logistics. Day two provides the opportunity to see how the personnel at stores put into practice the company ethos.
Princes Foods
Location: Liverpool & Nantwich
Dates: 9th & 10th November: two day placement.
Details: With a turnover of over £1bn and with a portfolio of market leading brands and products that are bought by millions of people every day Princes is one of the best known brand names throughout the UK. They also produce thousands of own label food and drink products for major retail and foodservice customers. The placement provides the opportunity to hear how they approach compliance, implement new legislation and how they handle any complaints. The visit to the Quality Control Laboratory allows officers to see the sampling methodology and contaminants testing.

Details: Experience first-hand the pressures faced by the market operators and merchants at the busy Billingsgate Fish Market. Includes discussion time with market operators, Seafish and LBRO.

Details: Spend a day with Arbonne learning how this beauty product direct selling company operates.
Grimsby Fish Market
Location: Grimsby, NE Lincs
Date: tbc, 6.45am - noon
Details: Tour of Grimsby Fish Market during its busiest time. Including discussion time with market operators, Seafish and LBRO as well as a visit to a nearby fish merchant operation.
Timpsons

Date: Various, Two day placement
Details: Two day placement with day one spent with an area manager looking at how shops are managed and day two spent in a Timpsons shop experiencing the challenges faced on the ground.
Opportunities to attend group sessions of local businesses as part of Trading Places for small businesses initiative
There are also a number of opportunities to experience Trading Places with small businesses in your area. We are working with the National Federation of Retail Newsagents, the Radio, Electrical and TV Retailers Association and Chambers of Commerce to roll out Trading Places in a way which is appropriate for their members. We are continuing to work closely with business associations on a national rollout, so if you are interested in taking part in your area please let us know and we should be able to arrange a suitable placement.
