Resources for Regulators
All LBRO's resources for regulators are available in this section of our website. It has been created at the suggestion of the Welsh Government to help Welsh Regulators. It does, though, draw on practical examples and diverse case studies derived from LBRO's work throughout the UK. The emphasis is firmly on giving practical assistance and providing tools that help create the conditions for system-wide better regulation. The content is organized in accordance with the LBRO and LGR Excellence Framework: the first national consensus concerning the characteristics of good regulatory services, and the use of self-assessment and peer challenge to drive innovation.
Resources for Regulators can be explored using the menu on the left or by clicking options on the visual device below. The content is grouped into general themes, but can be viewed on the basis of the resources available - tools, practice examples, project overviews, information, research findings and consultation reports - or key subjects. These are demonstrating value, developing staff, innovating, leading and managing, meeting local needs, partnering, restructuring, sharing services, supporting large businesses, and supporting SMEs. In each case, a specific page and resource are highlighted.
